The main faults of low-voltage automotive wiring harnesses include loose connections, poor contacts, open circuits, short circuits, etc. Here are some common low-voltage automotive wiring harness faults and their solutions:


Loose wiring and poor contact: This situation may cause automotive electrical components to malfunction. The solution is to check and tighten loose wiring terminals or connectors to ensure a secure connection.


Open circuit: An open circuit can prevent current from flowing, thereby rendering the corresponding electrical components inoperable. The detection method is to test the ignition coil terminal. If there is no ignition, it may be an open circuit between the low-voltage terminal of the ignition coil and the ammeter. If the connection between the terminal and the wire is not firm or the contact is poor, the fixing nut of the terminal should be cleaned and tightened; If a certain section of wire is broken, replace it, and the replaced wire should have the same specifications as the original wire.


Short circuit: Short circuit may cause serious accidents such as fire. The detection method is to use the open circuit method to determine whether the circuit equipment has a grounding (short circuit) fault.


Leakage or damage of the distributor: If there is a leakage of electricity between the distributor cover and socket, or if the socket leaks electricity outside the distributor, the leakage or leakage can be scraped off and baked with a low flame.
